  • Your heartbeat can change and sometimes it will even start mimic the beat of the music you are listening to.

Disney Parks

      
     Did you know these interesting Disney park facts?

    • Count the Captain Jack Sparrows on The Pirates of the Caribbean. There are usually three. If you see four, you might have actually seen Johnny Depp who sometimes hangs out in the ride in full costume for fun.

    • The Magic Kingdom in Florida is actually built on the second level of the park. The first level is a network of “utilidors” built to allow costumed characters to cross the park unseen by the public. It is also used to transport trash and can be used by ambulances in emergencies. 

    • One of Disney's best kept secrets is that there are hidden Mickeys that can be found all throughout the park. Here are a few...


    • As of 2014, Disneyland has only had three unscheduled closings. The National Day of Mourning following President Kennedy’s death, after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, and September 11th, 2001.

    • Now that there are Disney Parks in Asia, Europe, and North America, the sun literally never sets on Disney Parks.

    •  94 percent of life on Earth is aquatic. That makes us land-dwellers a very small minority. 

    • The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a patch in the North Pacific Ocean where all the plastic garbage thrown into the ocean has accumulated and has not yet bio-degraded.

    •  The deepest part of the ocean is known as The Mariana Trench and is approximately 1,580 miles below surface.

    • The Earth’s longest mountain range known as the Mid-Ocean Ridge spreads around the 
       globe from the Arctic Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. 
       

    Bright blue patch is Great Barrier Reef from Space.
    • The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef on Earth, measuring larger than Britain. It is off the coast of Australia and is so large and vibrant it can be seen from outer space.

    Disney Movies

    Did you know these interesting Disney movie facts? 


    • Disney was sued by a hyena biologist for their portrayal of hyenas as villains in The Lion King.

    • Frozen fans have been debating this since the movie came out: If Olaf had melted for Anna, would that act of true love have saved her? 
     
     
    • Daveigh Chase, who voices Lilo in Lilo and Stitch, is also the actress who played Samara in The Ring. AKA, the scariest little girl of all time.

    • When you hear the lion characters roar in The Lion King, you're actually hearing tigers. Filmmakers found that the roar from a lion was not loud enough. 
     
    •  Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled can be seen in Frozen.

    • Researchers who looked at the smoking and drinking habits of college students found that those who smoked on the nights that they drank heavily had much more severe hangovers the following day.


    • Hangover "Cure"
      Darker-hued drinks, such as bourbon, red wine and rum can often be the culprit of a brutal hangover, thanks to high concentrations of compounds called congeners.


    • Beer and champagne drinkers, the bubbles in your beverage can contribute to a hangover's severity.


    • Activated charcoal has been found to be one of the only “cures”  to a hangover.


    • The ridges on a Solo cup can actually be used as measurements.

    Valentine's Day

    • About 8 billion candy hearts will be produced this year; that’s enough candy to 
      Richard Cadbury
      stretch from Rome, Italy to Valentine, Arizona 20 times and back again.

    • On average, men shell out $130 each on candy, cards, jewelry, flowers and dates. That’s more than double what women commit to spending. 

    • Richard Cadbury invented the first Valentines Day candy box in the late 1800s











    • In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who 
      their valentines would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week. To wear your heart on your sleeve now means that it is easy for other people to know how you are feeling. 

    • Worldwide, over 50 million roses are given for Valentine's Day each year.
